St Aidan's Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) offers high quality before and after school care as well as vacation care. We provide a wide variety of activities over the term, including special themed days, drama, sport, art and craft, music, dance, indoor and outdoor activities, cooking, and science.
The St Aidan's OSHC team are child care professionals who support and respect the uniqueness and individuality of children and families. Our OSHC program caters to children's age, development needs, skills and interests with a commitment of inclusion for all children. Our activity program reflects and values the importance of play and activities are provided to support social, emotional and life skill development. Children are encouraged to grow and develop in a safe, compassionate and supportive environment where co-operation, friendship and mutual respect is encouraged. Opportunities for children to complete homework are provided.
All OSHC staff are trained annually in CPR, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis and hold a Suitability (Blue) Card.

Location
The OSHC program is held in JG08 located on the ground floor in the Junior School. Prep students are escorted to/from their classrooms in the mornings/afternoons. The OSHC educators can escort students to their after school extra-curricular activities when required in the afternoons, during the term only.
Parents/guardians must sign in their children in the mornings and sign them out in the afternoon.
St Aidan's OSHC accounts are payable by direct debit from your chosen bank account or credit card by Ezidebit.
Vacation Care
Our School Holiday Vacation Care Program is always jam-packed with exciting activities for kindy to school aged children. The program consists of various excursions, incursions and themed days run in a safe, friendly environment by our experienced staff. Boys, girls, friends and family all welcome!

Important Information for Kindergarten Parents
St Aidan’s OSHC is approved to provide education and care primarily to children over preschool age. At least 60% of children being provided education and care at the service must be over preschool age. This condition is applied to the before school, after school and vacation care programs.
As a result, St Aidan’s OSHC is unable to provide before school care to kindergarten students due to the low number of school aged students enrolled. A limited number of places for kindergarten students at after school care and vacation care are available however we recommend contacting the OSHC Coordinator to discuss availability.
Enroling and Booking
Please email oshc@staidans.qld.edu.au to obtain the relevant enrolment forms. We are unable to accept your child’s enrolment without a completed enrolment form or Ezidebit form.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children we must arrange staffing so that child: staff ratios are in accordance with National Standards. Bookings therefore, whether permanent or casual, are essential.

Cancellations
If your child is not able to attend OSHC as arranged, please advise as soon as possible and at least 48 business hours in advance in writing to oshc@staidans.qld.edu.au or by phoning +61 423 547 653. Fees will not be charged for non-attendance if 48 business hours or more notice is given. Notification is also important for safety reasons and to prevent time being spent looking for a child who is not present. For vacation care bookings, we are unable to accept cancellations once you have placed a booking. We are, however, happy to change the date of your booking.
Late Collection
If your child is not collected from the service by closing time a late fee penalty will charged to your account. A late fee of $15 for the first 10 minutes or part thereof, and $1 per minute thereafter will apply if your child is collected after the closing time of the centre. Please note this is charged per child. If late fees are incurred on three occasions within a term the family’s ongoing enrolment will be reviewed and cancellation of enrolment may occur.
Healthy Food Menu
Nutrition is a core part of our program. We understand children require a tasty breakfast and afternoon tea with a good balance of fresh food. A healthy snack will be provided for all children, which may include sandwiches, crackers, cheese, corn/rice thins, yoghurt, custard, fruit and vegetables. Families of children with specific dietary needs are asked to speak with the OSHC Coordinator to ensure an appropriate menu can be provided that is inclusive of all children.
